go to the start screen and type ‘Local security Policy’, you’ll see the admin app, start it up, then navigate to ‘Account Policies’  –> ‘Password Policy’. In the right hand panel you will see options that incude ‘Maximum Password Age’. Double click that, and change it to either 0 (to disable) or 180 or 365 (to shift to half year or yearly password update).
On the domain controller server
If it’s greyed out then you have to go to start menu —> Administrative tool —> Group policy management —> [your domain name] –>right click on DEFAULT DOMAIN POLICY and you will chose edit. Then Group Policy Management Editor is launched. Click on Computer Configuration > Policies > Windows Settings > Security Settings –> click on Account Poliuicy –> Password Policy.
Then disable the Passord must meeting complexity requirements
Then set 0 to all of these: Max/Min password age,  Min password length and enforce password history
